Each engagement is designed with your team to deliver value and insight your organization retains long after the work is complete.

What OAS is

Senior capacity, beside the team you already have.

The depth of a sitting CFO or COO, brought to your board and executive team through review, analysis, and recommendations. OAS does not operate your organization — we give you and your teams the information and analysis to make informed, strategic decisions, the tools and training to implement them, and the partnership to see them through.

Engagements are defined in scope and term. Financial models arrive as working Excel files you own. AI workflows and tools are documented and turned over to your staff with training. The value created stays with you, well after the engagement ends.

On the question you’re probably asking

“Often called a fractional CFO — with one difference: your CFO seat stays yours, and everything we build stays with your team.”

OAS advises; management decides. We do not set policy, authorize transactions, hold signing or banking authority, supervise your staff, or take custody of assets. Those boundaries are what let your leadership keep and use everything we build.

When organizations call

Three moments, and they each want something different.

01

Opportunity

An expansion, a new venture, a repositioning, or a capital project worth pursuing. The moment to move deliberately — build the plan and model the outcomes before the capital is committed.

02

Challenge

Covenant stress, census decline, margins that stopped cooperating, or a lender asking harder questions. The moment to stabilize, quantify what is really happening, and get ahead of it.

03

Transition

A leadership vacancy, a succession, or an affiliation question. The moment when steady hands and numbers the board can trust matter most.

Who we serve

Boards & Trustees

Independent perspective, governance discipline, and numbers they can trust — presented so the whole board can govern by them, not just the finance committee.

Executives

Senior capacity beside you for the opportunity, the crisis, or the gap — without adding a permanent seat or handing your judgment to someone else.

Owners & Operators

The systems, planning, and financial discipline of a much larger organization, sized to yours and built so your people can keep running it.

Practice areas

Eight practice areas. One standard.

Each area is organized into categories and named engagements, so you can see exactly what an engagement produces before it starts.

01

Finance

The numbers that run the organization — done to a CFO’s standard.

Executive advisory · FP&A · Rates & contracts · Capital & debt · Turnaround · Audit readiness
02

Operations

The difference between a community and an institution is operational discipline.

Operational assessment · Census & revenue · Vendor & procurement · Regulatory & disclosure
03

Board Relations

Boards that govern with clarity — informed, prepared, and unafraid of the numbers.

Reporting & education · Committee support · Governance events & transitions
04

Human Resources

The workforce is the product. Structure it that way.

Organization & compensation · Benefits & retirement · Policy & culture
05

Strategy

Plans that survive contact with the next decade.

Strategic planning · Market & positioning · Benchmarking & market intelligence
06

Project Development

Capital projects that finish on budget and on mission.

Feasibility & financing · Owner’s advisory · Project reporting · Opening & fill-up
07

Investment Oversight

Investment programs governed by cash-flow reality, not product pitches.

Investment policy · Program oversight · Treasury & reserves
08

Technology & AI

Systems that go live on time, AI that lands where it actually belongs — and both get used.

Governance · Readiness & selection · Implementation · Adoption & enablement
The OAS engagement standard

Every engagement delivers, without exception.

Each engagement is designed with your team to deliver value and insight your organization retains long after the work is complete.

01

An executive-level report summarizing scope, findings, analysis, and recommendations.

02

An implementation roadmap with objectives, responsible parties, and timelines.

03

Mid-engagement and completion check-ins with leadership and responsible parties.

04

Financial models as working Excel files, with the client retaining ownership.

05

AI models and tools — workflows, agents, automations, prompt libraries — documented, turned over to your team, and taught.

Engagements are delivered as defined-scope projects, multi-month advisory of defined term, or session-based workshops.
